The Conférence of the training course is a lawyer association and magistrates, founded in 1810, and famous for its contest of eloquence, during which speakers clash, on sometimes absurd questions: “Is the caretaker in the staircase? ”

It is the Conférence Berryer, of the name of Pierre-Antoine Berryer, French academician, Bâtonnier of the Order (1852-1854), which gave to the pleading its noble letters. Because, as Antiphon affirmed it: “To convince is all, an art, and one becomes speaker only through practice”.
