Conference of Wannsee

The object of the conference of Wannsee with Berlin, which joins together, the January 20th 1942, fifteen civil and military high ranking officials of the Third Reich, was the administrative organization, technical and economic of the final solution to the Jewish question, i.e. extermination of the whole of the Jews of Europe, whose total population, estimates Adolf Eichmann, would amount to eleven million people. The first camps of dead the were already installed, the technique of the gazage, which made it possible to physically move away the torturers from their victims, had proven reliable and the crematoriums erased any trace of the crimes. The conference was chaired by Reinhard Heydrich. It lasted less than two hours.
