The Conférence of Lausanne was held between the June 16th and the July 9th 1932 with Lausanne. It brings together representatives of France, the United Kingdom, and of Germany to regulate the problem of the war reparations which had by Germany following the First World War by the Traité of Versailles.
After the shock of the Great Depression, the Germany is in the incapacity to pay the 121 which had billion Reichsmark S, and the conference brings back this amount to 3 billion payable marks after a three years moratorium.
After the takeover of Hitler, the Nazi Germany did not refund this amount. However, after the defeat of the Second world war, an International Conference of 1953 establishes that Germany would refund this debt after a possible reunification.
The West Germany refunded the main thing of the debt in 1980.
