Conference of Brazzaville
January 30th with the February 8th 1944 was held the conference of Brazzaville on the initiative of the Provisional government of Algiers, chaired by the general de Gaulle. It provided the foundations of the French Union. Felix Éboué played a big role there. It launched a policy of assimilation in favor of the colonies.
