Condensation
The condensation is the name given to the phenomenon Physique of change of state of the matter which passes from a diluted state (Gaz) to a condensed state (solid or Liquide). One can try out this change of state while passing at the time of a shower, where in contact with the cold mirror, the moisture of the air is transformed into droplets.
Formulation
It is of use when the final state (liquid or solid) is not indicated, to employ it only for the passage of the gas state in the liquid state. But for more precision, it is to better employ the expressions:- liquid condensation (Liquefaction: passage of the gas state in the liquid state),
- solid condensation or crystallization (condensation: passage of the gas state in a solid state).
The term sublimation reverses is still sometimes used to indicate the change of state of the Gaz towards the solid , the sublimation indicating the change of state of the solid to gas, without passing by the liquid state.
Technique
A device of condensation is present in the systems of Heat pump, used in particular in the devices of Climatisation and Froid industrialist.
Chemistry
One speaks about chemical condensation, when two molecules bind to form only one of them. It makes it possible to constitute very large molecules or Polymère S, consisted the assembly of a succession of smaller molecules, the monomers. It is the case, for example, of the proteins which result from the assembly of amino-acids by the formation of the peptide bond which consists of the elimination of a water molecule between two amino-acids in an aqueous medium (condensation). The chain thus formed adopts rigid conformations (Hélice S α and layers β), themselves asymmetrical, which play a crucial role in the functions of Catalyze.
In the building
Often signs of moisture appear on certain walls caused by condensations. The phenomenon developed with the rise in the cost of the heating which leads on the one hand to the installation of insulating glazings, of inappropriate ventilations, stopped or non-existent and sometimes of back up heater without evacuation (gaz radiators or with oil without odor, in particular) which is large steam producers.
With each fall of temperature in housing, the water excess in the air always settles at the most cold places, thus creating a zone favorable to the development of the moulds.
To regulate this problem it is necessary to heat, to insulate and ventilate the dwelling.
