Concerto for piano n° 4 of Saint-Saëns

This work was composed by Camille Saint-Saëns in 1875 and constitutes the fourth of the five Concerto S for Piano.

Contrary to the first, third and fifth concertos, its structure is not traditional: it includes/understands four movements which are not formally separate. It is rather about a writing of only one jet with four tempos, gathered in two parts, the same topics being taken again each time. The piano is treated with equal share with the orchestra and the side virtuoso is not exacerbated in a specific part.

  1. long-lived Allegro moderato

  2. Allegro
