Concert for the tolerance

The concerts for the tolerance are concerts organized by television channels and tourist promoters of areas to make pass a “message of respect of the other and differences, for peace, the tolerance, fraternity and for the fight against any form of discrimination” through a great musical festival. Two concerts proceeded in tourist centers of the the Maghreb. A similar action of M6 Music Live in December 2003 was at the origin of the concept.

Tunisian edition

The first concert, organized the June 25th 2005 in the Médina Mediterranea of Yasmine Hammamet (Tunisia), shows a certain public interest for this kind of demonstration with approximately 15.000 spectators. The participating artists are Axelle Red, Patrick Fiori, Liane Foly, Assia, Cheb Mami, Wallen, Leslie and Amine, Sniper and Takfarinas, Amel Bent, Anggun, Slaï or Gage. The free entry with the concert in offered following a participant in a play by SMS.

Moroccan edition

The 2nd edition is held the November 4th 2006 on beach Al Marina of Agadir (Morocco) and it meets a sharp success: the estimates of the number of spectators on the spot vary between 120.000 and 250.000. The concert is diffused on TPS Star the November 18th, 2M the November 23rd, TV5 Monde the December 24th, TF1 the December 31st and TV5 France the January 7th 2007. The area of Agadir benefits from the occasion to promote its attraction as a tourist destination. The entry in this concert is free with 4000 tickets VIP allotted by SMS. The concert is in addition organized under the high patronage of the king Mohammed VI. The fact that space accessible to the public was limited, caused some criticisms.

Presented by Nathalie Vincent and T-Miss, a score of in particular French and Moroccan artists of the music pop, Rap, Spoke and R' B give themselves appointment on an immense scene built for the occasion on the beach of Agadir: Florent Pagny, Helene Ségara, Pascal Obispo, Julie Zenatti, Olivia Ruiz, Zucchero, Anggun, Lorie, Axel Bauer, Magic System, Faudel, Pledge, K-Maro, Leslie, Amine, Shy' m, Laure Milan, Samira Bensaïd, Abd Al Malik or Akli D.
