Concert Under The Sea: The Documentary Film

Concert Under The Sea: The Documentary Film is documentary recalling the major concerts in the world given by Katie Melua on October 2nd, 2006 on a gas platform at sea of North to 303 meters in lower part of the sea level. This event commemorates the 10th birthday of the construstion of the greatest human structure in the world exploited by the Statoil gas producer company. The concert was initiated by Jan Hauge, one of the two directors of the platform and musician at his lost hours, which for the occasion is with the piano on " My Aphrodisiac Is You".

Taking into account the place, the public was restricted with 19 people plus 22 technicians.

Behind Katie, the group was tiny room to three people:

  • Henri Spinetti - battery

  • Jim Watson - piano
  • Tim harries - low guitar

A string quartet, installed 300 meters higher in the open air, plays on several title (" Part By Piece" , " The Closest Thing To Crazy").

The documentary one was diffused initially by Norwegian chain NRK1 in a slightly different version. The introduction of " Shy Boy" is cut down on version DVD whereas it is quite present in the televised version. The first 11 chapters are devoted to the documentary part itself, and 30 minutes in the concert starting from chapter 12.
