Concón
Concón is a commune of the Province of Valparaíso, located in the Région of Valparaíso, with the Chile. It is famous to be the Gastronomical Capitale of Chile . Birthplace of the dictator Pinochet.
Etymology
To explain the origin of the name of the city, there exist two sources. First dun place with the song of the owls during the night has (making cong-cong in of Spanish). Second is that Concón has an origin Mapuche Co , meaning water. For that, when the améridiens arrive at this place, they see much water, and called it " Co-co" , Q which by castillanisant it becomes " idiot-con".
