Our-Lady-of-Touchet the east located at the extreme south-east of the department of the English Channel. It belongs to the canton of Mortain. It has as a name of Toscha origin, Touchet, word of the former French meaning " glazing bar close to a habitation". The village was called Touchet until the beginning of the XXe century when Notre-Dame was added in reference to the devotion of the inhabitants towards the virgin. The part of territory located at the north of Sélune was taken on Romagny and was attached to Our-Lady-Of-Touchet following an epidemic of plague. The expression comes from large and small Touchet (the large one being the old territory). The old castle of Touchet was located at the east of the church (firm of the court). It at summer shaved at the time of the revolution. It also remains in the south of the borough (in edge of the MINOR ROAD 184) a cross of way known as “the cross Martin saint” registered with the inventory of the historic buildings on April 12th, 1939.
