Composition of the American task force in 1918

The November 11th 1918, one counted approximately 2 million men come from the the United States in Europe to help the France and its allies in the distinct in the rows of the American Expeditionnary Force United States Army.

Their racial distribution was done as follows:

  • 1.700.000 Blancs
  • 200.000 Afro-américain S (gathered in special units due to segregation, the vast majority was used in units as Logistique, only 20% in units of combat, of which the 92e division of US infantry)
  • 17.313 Amerindian S were built-in US Army, (14 000 are sent in France)
