Complex of leisures

A complex of leisures is a field where interferes several activities Loisir S. the activities can be various types:

A complex of leisures is often articulated around a Amusement park. A recreation park is in the literal sense a complex of leisures but it is of common measurement to distinguish both because of specificity from the recreation park which includes/understands only attractions and trade. From this distinction the fact rises that, for a recreation park associated with one or more hotels, the unit '' recreation park + hotel '' is called complex leisures. The development of the tourist offer and in particular of lodging on the field, then makes it possible the park to become a destination with whole share. The complex of Walt Disney World Resort is an good example.

Although this term indicates mainly the fields of important size, one can bring closer the definition to a complex of leisures of that of a Holiday resort (or club of holidays ). Also sometimes it sometimes happens to use this term to indicate a Hôtel big size, offering a multitude of services ( hotel-casino, hotel of cure at a watering-place ) or certain private islands.

The anglophone use the term of Resort with the multiple significances, also indicating other types of tourist destination.
