Company of the old French texts
Founded learned society with Paris in 1875 with a “aim of publishing documents of any nature compiled with the the Middle Ages in Language of oil or language of oc” ( Bulletin of the SATF , 1,1875, p. 1). Its founding members are Henri Bordier, marquis J. of Laborde, A. Lamarle, Paul Meyer, Léopold Pannier, Gaston Paris, Auguste-Henry-Edouard, marquis de Queux of Saint-Hilaire, baron Arthur of Rothschild, baron Edmond of Rothschild, baron James NR. of Rothschild and Natalis de Wailly.
From 1875 to 1936, the company publishes an annual bulletin which is diffused only with its members.
Since its foundation, it also publishes a collection of critical editions or even sometimes of facsimiles which includes/understands today nearly 180 volumes.
