Company of the antique dealers of France (Paris)
The Société of the antique dealers of France is a founded Parisian company historical and archaeological in 1804 under the name of Celtic Académie. It has its seat with the Museum of Louvre, with the Mollien house.
Celtic academy (1804-1813)
The Celtic Academy was rested by the prefect Jacques Cambry, Jacques Antoine Dulaure and by Jacques Brigant the 9 germinal year XII (March 30th 1804). The first president was Cambry which chaired it until its death in 1807. The purpose of it is the study of the civilization of the Gaulois, the history and archeology Frenchwomen.
In 1813, it took the name of Société of the Antique dealers of France , which it since carried to an high level of notoriety, and with an international recognition, with the example of the Société of the antique dealers of London.
Company of the antique dealers of France
Starting from 1814, this company of scholars became sometimes royal Société of the antique dealers of France (1814-1848), sometimes national or imperial with the liking of the modes of the France. Its name is now unchanged since 1871.
It publishes since its foundation: a collection of Memories , Bulletins as well as a directory of its members.
