Company of the Poets and Artists of France
The Company of the Poets and Artists of France , SPAF , is an national organization considered founded in 1958 by Henry Meillant.
It counted among its first committees of honor of the personalities of the Letters and Arts like Maurice Genevoix, Paul Guth, Léopold Sédar Senghor and well of others. It with the characteristic to have for each area of France its own delegation and her contests of Poetry. Its goal is thus to promote the writing by the means of regular demonstrations inviting each one to be expressed in the poetic field. The SPAF has moreover many publications with the national scales (" Art and Poésie" created by Henry Meillant) like regional (for example the review " Wind of Southerly wind poétique" for the delegation the Midday-Pyrenees), in whom are published after selection of many authors. This Company thus allows to make available to the public poetic art in all its forms by privileging quality from works presented and published.
