Company of public transport of the mancelle agglomeration

the Company of public transport of the mancelle agglomeration (SETRAM) is the joint grid system which serves Mans Métropole Urban community.

Current network

The network includes/understands 28 lines, serves 9 communes on a total route of 234 kilometers, on which 720 bus stops are placed. The city has a park of 172 buses. The company has 4 lines of evening, 3 lines for the matches of the million u.a. 72 and 3 for the theater of Antarès. 90.000 voyages are carried out per day with 377 drivers and conducting.

The park bus in figures

Most of the buses, especially oldest, will disappear from the traffic with the arrival of the tram, but the organization continues to have a service of bus able to meet the needs for the mancelle agglomeration. The Tram

Setram also manages the exploitation of the Southern tram line/Is and a system of smart card for the transport documents: the Moovéa chart. The tram makes it possible to save time on the long ways. It is useful for the inhabitants of the south of the city, wishing to rejoin the downtown area or the university. The first line connects Antarès to the pole of the University while an intermediate line should appear ahead semi-2008, in order to reach the district of Espal in the sector is city. The organization of the buses of the SETRAM will be some thus upset.

Future network

The future network of bus will enter in place as soon as on November 19th, 2007. The number of lines of bus will be considerably reduced. Only 18 lines will be preserved. The service roads of the agglomeration will then be development. Half of the network approximately will be devoted to the 9 communes of Mans Métropole. Lines 21 and 5 will serve exclusively will serve the commune of Arnage for example. Line 16 will give access the town of Awls while the line 24, it, will be the continuation of the tram line in the south of the city, in direction of Mulsanne. The multimode exchanges of transport will be carried out in Saint Martin's day de Pontlieue (tram/drunk) and at the station " Gares" , which will make it possible to choose between tram, bus, extra-urban bus, train broad outline or taxi in only one place. This multimode pole should be fully operational in 2009.
