Company of Versailles of urban transport

The company of Versailles of urban transport ( SVTU ) is a company of public transport which exploits the network of drunk of the town of Versailles (Yvelines) and of the surrounding communes. This company whose trade name is Phébus, belongs to the group Keolis.

The served network includes/understands 30 lines and covers 12 communes of Yvelines and the Hauts-de-Seine. The company uses 140 buses, employs 300 people and transports approximately 62.000 people per day.

This company is a subsidiary company of the company Keolis, itself subsidiary of the SNCF.

History

The origin of the company goes back to the concession of the horse trams granted on July 7th, 1874 to the Brothers Francq (Public limit company of the trams and extensions) with 24 cars and 100 horses.
