the Companions of Baal is a Feuilleton televised French in 7 50 minutes episodes, in black and white, adapted by Jacques Champreux, carried out by Pierre Prévert, diffused in 1968 on the second channel of ORTF then taken again by France 4 during the launching of TNT.

Synopsis

A mysterious history, esoteric formulas pronounced by entreated seeking to dominate the world. The Companions of Baal, directed by their Large Master Hubert de Mauvouloir, do not move back in front of nothing to extend their capacity: flights, removals, murder… A fantastic serial in the vein of films of Georges Franju.

Comments

The serial is not free from a desired naive side and which creates a very particular atmosphere (sometimes pointing out that of the Cartoon S of Blake and Mortimer). In a scene, for example, a Parisian apartment gives on an immense rectilinear staircase leading to the sewers.
