Compañía of los Ferrocarriles de Zaragoza has Pamplona there Barcelona
The Compañia of los Ferrocarriles de Zaragoza has Pamplona there Barcelona or ZPB is born on July 24th, 1866, by fusion of the Compañia del Ferrocarril de Zaragoza has Pamplona and Compañia del Ferrocarril de Zaragoza has Barcelona. The latter knew serious financial problems, which explains why all the leaders of the new business come from Zaragoza-Pamplona. The network is already in exploitation during fusion, and the only opening of new line relates to a short section of three kilometers making it possible to connect the stations of Saragossa - Arrabal with Saragossa - Campo Sepulcro, officiellemet inaugurated on October 1st, 1871. With its 609 kilmeters of lines making it possible to connect the two maritime frontages of the Iberian peninsula, the ZPB causes the covetousness of its powerful neighbors. Since 1875, negotiations are started in this connection between the committees of Paris of the Norte and MZA. Finally, MZA engages with not géner the Norte in its attempts to repurchase ZPB in exchange of compensation in Andalusia, the Norte acceptor to sell the Compañia del Ferrocarril de Cordoba has Sevilla with its rival. After protracted negotiations, ZPB finally is repurchased and annexed by the Compañia of los Caminos de Hierros del Norte on February 13rd, 1878.
