The Community Party national-European (PCN) takes as a starting point the ideas of Jean Thiriart. Its doctrines are the “European communautarism” which it defines as the “socialism of the 21e century”. The Stalinisme is not disavowed.

The PCN is declared in favor of the creation of a large European Republic gathering the unit of what was the Soviet Union and the Western Europe. He considers that the Turkey must integrate this Republic.

The PCN took the party to support various nationalist modes third-mondistes: that of Slobodan Milošević in Yugoslavia, of the Arab Jamahiriya popular Libyan woman and Socialist of the colonel Kadhafi, the Left Arab Baath Socialist in Syria and Iraq.

It took part in the defense of Slobodan Milošević with the creation of the French-speaking Committee for the defense of Slobodan Milošević. The last general secretary of the PCN, Frederic Kister, broke with this party. He became since general secretary of the Mouvement Nation, a Belgian line small part extreme violently hostile to immigration and the Moslems.

One of its former heads, Nicolas Pomies, left it and became later one of the leaders of the Union of the laic families (UFAL) and of the National coordination of the Republican left.

At the time of the last legislative elections in Belgium, the PCN invited to vote for the party of extreme right-hand side Flemish Vlaams Belang .

The PCN introduced candidates to various elections in Belgium and France with very weak results usually. A candidate of the PCN obtained 1,39% of the voices in 1988 at the time of a partial cantonal election with southern Valencians, which constitutes its best score ever obtained in France.
