Community intelligence

The United States Intelligence Community created the December 4th 1981 by the President of the United States Ronald Reagan currently gathers 16 services of Renseignement S of the the United States pertaining to several ministries: for defense, one thus finds the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA, arranges information of defense), the National Security Agency (NSA, Agence national security), the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA, in the past NIMA, national agency of imagery and cartography), the National Recognition Office (NRO, National office of recognition) and the intelligence services of the armies.

The function of coordinator of these various services is provided by the Directeur national information.

Members

The community consists of 16 members (or elements). The CIA is a service independent of the federal government. The 15 other elements are services or offices inside departments of the executive. The Community is directed by the director of the national Information, whose office is not listed like member of the community.
