Definition

A arranges Community is:
  • a European statutory body,
  • distinct from the Community institutions (the Council, Parliament, Commission, etc)
  • having a clean legal personality.

It is:

  • created by a Community act of derived right
  • in order to fill a task:
    • of technical nature,
    • scientific
    • of quite specific management
  • within the framework of the “first pillar” of the European Union.
