The common cane ( Ferula communis ) is a Mediterranean plant of the kind Ferula and of the family of the Apiacées. She flowers in May - June, being presented in the form of a shrub to ombelles spectacular by their size.

Description

Long-lived shrub being able to reach two meters in height, with very fast growth (a few weeks). Set up, cylindrical and hollow stem. Pennate and linear flexible sheets appearing after flowering. Long sheets engainantes at the time of flowering. Superb ombelles of flowers yellow of projecting gold with cheesecloth S. Catalan name : canyaferla .
