Committee of action high-school pupil
The Comités of actions high-school pupils (CAL) appeared in December 1967, in opposition to the Guerre in Vietnam in reaction to the associations organized like UNEF or of the too hermetic politicized groups. They will appear at the time of May 68 and, on the memory of this time, they will réappaîtront periodically in 1986 against the law Devaquet, in 1990 to obtain means for education, in 1998 against Claude Allègre…
Since 2000, they reappeared initially in province with Montpellier and Rennes, to protest against the war in Iraq and the rise of the National front, then with Paris on the initiative of militants of extreme left.
In 2005, the CAL and the National coordination of the high-school pupils led, with the trade unions high-school pupils FIDL and UNL, the Mouvement high-school pupil against the law Fillon.
They have a national coordination which meets in a weekly way in period of Grève.
