Committee for freedom of expression and of association
The Committee for freedom of expression and of association ( Clea ) is a Belgian association having for goal defense of the right to the Freedom of expression and the right of association within the framework of the legitimate right to the dispute.
History
Clea was created in 2006 in the tread of the lawsuit against alleged members of DHKP-C in Belgium, lawsuit at the conclusion which several people, whose Belgian, Bahar Kimyongür, was condemned to custodial sentences for Terrorisme.From its support for Bahar Kimyongür, condemned for Offense of membership and more largely its work of information and mobilization of the Belgian society, Clea quickly became the spearhead of the fight against the antiterrorist laws voted in Belgium the shortly after the Attentats of September 11th, 2001.
Clea counts today sections in various towns of Belgium and is supported by a big number of intellectuals.
