Commission of the titles of engineer

Composition

The CTI is made up of 32 voluntary members. The members are named by co-optation and are representatives of schools, representatives professional, or even of the representatives of the Syndicat S.

Mission

Its mission is more precisely:

studied any relative question with the Trainings of engineers, whatever is the field,
to examine the requests for enabling to deliver titles of qualified engineer,
to organize the periodic evaluation of the trainings of engineer (any formation receives a one six years renewable maximum duration enabling after a detailed evaluation organized by the CTI),
to decide to intervene of its own initiative to carry out an inspection in an establishment in order to check the contents and the conditions of organization of the formation.

Operation

Since the beginning of the years 2000, enabling CTI is not delivered any more AD vitam æternam , but for to the maximum 6 years. The CTI thus inspects regularly the schools of engineers having filled a file beforehand, then meets, as a plenary session, to decide official opinion of the CTI. The opinion of the CTI is a judgment with regard to the private schools of engineers, but is only one council for the public schools, although it is rare that the ministry in charge (state education, defense, industry, agriculture…) the opinion of the commission does not follow. This opinion can be accompanied by recommendations. These recommendations are important orientations for the piloting of the school and can constitute obligations checked by the CTI.
