Commission of the files

The Commission of the files was created by the constituent and animated Assembly since August 1789 by Armand-Gaston Camus, named guard of the files and become to some extent inmovible national archivist.

This deposit received all the parts of the National Assembly. Armand-Gaston Camus was assisted of two assistant police chiefs.
