The Commission of regulation of electricity and the gas ( CREG ) is a federal organization whose seat with Brussels, is instituted by the law of April 29th, 1999 relating to the organization of the market of the electricity and the law of April 29th, 1999 relating to the organization of the market of the Gaz and to the tax statute of the producers of electricity. Its roles are a mission of council near the public authorities, on the one hand, and a general mission of monitoring and control of the application of the laws and payments, on the other hand.
