Commandery of the Ford-Lian

The commandery of the Ford-Lian is located at the Moitron-on-Sarthe, in the department of the the Sarthe, to 29 km in the north of the Mans, on the road which goes from the Beaumont-on-Sarthe to Fresnay-sur-Sarthe.

History

The commandery of the Ford-Lian passed to the order of Midsummer's Day of Jerusalem to the fall of the Ordre of the Temple.

State

The following elements composing the old commandery remain nowadays: the vault (in the course of restoration), the building known as " the temple" and the home of the commander with his two houses.

One is requested to announce itself before visiting because it is about a private property.
