Comix 2000
Comix 2000 (ISBN 2-84414-022-X) is an album of Cartoon dumb of 2 000 pages (the binding is of the same type as that of a dictionary of the type Petit Larousse), drawn by 324 authors of 29 different countries at the time of the passage to the year 2000.
La coordination of the work was ensured by Jean-Christophe Menu, his design graphic is due to Etienne Robial.
Ce delivers was published by Association.
The authors taking part in this album were retained, by a small commission of authors, on the quality standard of the boards proposed. This explains why famous authors of the medium of the independent cartoon cotoient sometimes unknown artists there.
With an aim of being comprehensible by all and in all the countries, the cartoons completely dumb and are deprived of dialogs.
In spite of a format difficult to diffuse, Comix 2000, now exhausted, was sold with more 12 000 specimens and constitutes a “photography” nonexhaustive but very representative of the independent Cartoon international. This one knew some problems of logistics: accounts - checks late (in particular for the foreign authors), authors not-retained and who were upset by it, etc In spite of these some Couac S, Comix 2000 constitutes a “date” in the history of the world cartoon.
