• the Hungary (megye)
• the Slovakia (župa - hist. only)
• the Croatia (županija) one employs also joupanie , to see the article Comitats of Croatia.
• the Bosnia-Herzégovine (županija)
• the Romania (comitat)

This word corresponds to German Gespannschaft and Latin comitatus .
