History
Creation
Since 1945, the the USSR seeks to extend its political power. Cominform is thus created in 1947 at the time of the conference of the parties Communiste S Europeans of Szklarska Poreba, in Low Polish Silesia , of the 22 to the September 27th. The organization centralizes the connection between the European Communist parties, reinforcing the Russian influence on the latter. Proof of the europeocentrism of the organization, the PC Chinese and Vietnamese are not invited. The creation of Cominform by Stalin seems an answer to the American Marshall plan, refused by the democracies of Eastern Europe (under the Soviet pressure). It is during this meeting that the Doctrine Jdanov was marked.
The participation of the PCF
During the first meeting, with their great surprise, the French representatives (in particular Jacques Duclos) are highly criticized by Andreï Jdanov (secretary of PCUS) for their national strategy of ministerial participation. Consequently, the national position of PCF is radicalized, the party returning explicitly in the opposition.Georges Cogniot and Etienne Fajon was the representatives of PCF to the creation of Cominform.
Yugoslav exclusion
After one second meeting in January 1948 in Yugoslavia, mentalities change and the conflict bursts then between Tito and Stalin. Also, during the third meeting, which proceeds from June 25th to 28th 1948 with Bucharest, Cominform considers the Communism Yugoslav of Tito like far away from the Russian vision. In fact, Belgrade is excluded and a purification " anti-titiste" intervenes among all members of the organization.
The fight for peace
The fourth meeting is held with Mátra in Hungary, from November 27th to 29th 1949. It ratifies the stressing of the effort towards the safeguard of peace, Cominform drawing up like directing body (but always occults) world Mouvement of the partisans of peace.
Disappearance
The last meeting of the organization takes place during the year 1950 in Bucharest, treating functional aspects. After the death of Stalin in 1953, Cominform is put gradually in day before. And, when it is clear that one moves towards the Peaceful coexistence between the two blocks, the organization is dissolved in April 1956.
