Comic strip
The comic strips are cartoons of some boxes which constitute sometimes stories to be followed. With the the United States, the comic strip is a true industry with its distribution networks such as the King Features Syndicate (Pim, WFP poum, Mandrake…) or United Media (Peanuts, Dilbert…). A Japanese equivalent with the comic strip is the Yonkoma
An important part of the most famous comic strips is centered on humor. They have the role to make laugh the reader in a minimum of boxes (in general three, but some strips use some more).
The daily comic-strips are also called daily strips.
