Comedy-ballet
Dramatic, musical and choreographic kind, the comedy-ballet is invented by Molière in 1661, for its part the Annoying . Mixing the Music and the Dance in a single action (contrary to the Opera ballet, more composite), the comedy-ballet covers contemporary subjects and shows ordinary characters of the daily life. The marriage is often the central theme.
The trio Molière - Lully - Beauchamp created a half-dozen of works, but the kind declined after the death of Lully as of 1687.
