Comatule

The comatule ( Comatulida ) is an echinodermatous whose whole of the arms evokes a hair.

Food

The comatule rakes the coral sea. On its inner face, the Pinule S are, as the branches of starfishes, fringed tiny tubes, the feet ambulacraires. They secrete a kind of lime where shellfish larvae and remains of organizations stick themselves. The particles will slip then as on rails, along gutters bordered of lashes which traverse the arms to the mouth open to the center of the chalice.
