Columbus Circle

Columbus Circle is one of the principal places of attraction of New York. Columbus Circle is located at the intersection of Broadway, of Central Park West, Central Park South and the Eighth Avenue, with the south-western angle of Central Park. The place was baptized in the honor of Christophe Colomb. A statue of the explorer dominates Columbus Circle.

Time Warner Center, the seat of the conglomerate of media Time Warner, is on the western part of Columbus Circle, on the site of the old New York Coliseum. On the northern part of Columbus Circle Trump International Hotel and Tower is, on the north-eastern part Merchant' S Gate to Central Park.

In a radius of one kilometer of Columbus Circus are the Lincoln Center, the American Museum off Natural History, the Plaza Hotel close to Large Army Plaza and Times Square. In the south of Columbus Circle the districts of Hell' S Kitchen and Midtown are, in north the district of the Upper West Side.
