Coluccio Salutati

Coluccio Salutati (Buggiano, 1331 - Florence, 1406) was an important chancellor Florentin and an outstanding cultural figure of the Renaissance.

Biography

With its circle of friends well-read men, to which belongbelong Leonardo Bruni, Poggio Bracciolini and Niccolò Niccoli, he studied and discussed works of Pétrarque and Boccace.

He discovered most of the correspondence of Cicéron.
