Colobe

Colobe is the vernacular Nom given to some Singe S of the Old world. Étymologiquement, " colobe" mean mutilated because one observes a strong contracting of the inch compared to the others Doigt S of the Main. By " colobes" one commonly indicates monkeys Arboricole S of rather big size, provided with long tails not Préhensile S alive in sub-Saharan Africa of the kind S Colobus and Procolobus . However, the distinction is mean with their Asian equivalents which one names Semnopithèque S and Langur S, whose most known representative is probably the Entelle. Indeed, they have the same physical characteristics, namely a comparable size, a long tail likely to be used as beam in the arboricolous Locomotion and especially the food Régime. This one is done almost exclusively Feuille S and requires Adaptation S anatomical close to those of the Ruminant S to the level of the division of the Estomac in several pockets in order to manage to to digest the Cellulose. The principal behavioral consequence of this food mode little energy is the strong proportion of time allocated with either collecting the quantity of sufficient food, or to digest. The social activity of these species is thus less rich than in close monkeys morphologiquement as the Cercopithécidé S but which them profit from a food mode made up of Fruit S, energy and digestible.
