Collina Torinese
The Collina Torinese is an Italian vineyard of the area Piedmont equipped with a name DOC. since October 14th, 1999. Only to DOC. the wines collected inside the surface of production defined by the decree are entitled. The authorized vineyards are located in Province of Turin in the communes Andezeno, Arignano, Baldissero Torinese, Brozolo, Brusasco, Casalborgone, Castagneto Po, Castiglione Torinese, Cavagnolo, Chieri, Cinzano, Gassino Torinese, Lauriano, Marentino, Mombello di Torino, Moncalieri, Montaldo Torinese, Monteu da Po, Moriondo Torinese, Pavarolo, Pecetto Torinese, Pino Torinese, Riva presso Chieri, Rivalba, San Raffaele Cimena, San Sebastiano da Po, Sciolze and Verrua Savoia.
The vineyard is one of last wines to be recognized D.O.C in Piedmont and is primarily used to protect from the local specialities such as the rare type of vine Pelaverga.
