Colli del Trasimeno Merlot

The Colli del Trasimeno Merlot is a red Wine of the area Ombrie equipped with a name DOC. since January 13rd, 1972. Only to DOC. the wines collected inside the surface of production defined by the decree are entitled. The authorized vineyards are located in Province of Perugia close to the Lac Trasimène in the communes of Castiglione del Lago, Città della Pieve, Paciano, Piegaro, Panicale, Perugia, Corciano, Magione, Passignano sul Trasimeno and Tuoro sul Trasimeno.

The red wine of the Colli del Trasimeno Merlot answers a schedule of conditions less demanding than the Colli del Trasimeno Merlot riserva, primarily in relation to the alcohol level and with a 2 years ageing of the riserva .

Organoleptic characteristics

  • color : intense red ruby with purplished reflections tending towards a red brick after ageing
  • odor : vinous, pleasant, intense
  • savor : dryness, harmonic, full

The Colli del Trasimeno Merlot is tasted at a temperature of 14 with 16°C and it keeps 2 - 4 years.
