The vineyards authorized in Province of Bologna and Province of Modena in the communes of Monteveglio, Castello di Serravalle, Assemble San Pietro, Sasso Marconi, Savigno, Marzabotto, Pianoro, Bazzano, Crespellano, Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna, San Lazzaro di Savena, Zola Predosa, Monterenzio and partly in the commune of Savignano sul Panaro. The surface planted in vine is of 624 hectares.
