The Notre-Dame church of the Assumption of Colleville dates from, classified the historic building in 1840. It was almost entirely destroyed at the time of the unloading by shootings of American destroyers because the bell-tower was used as observation post with seven German soldiers who communicated the coordinates of shootings to the German batteries. The rebuilding lasted of 1946 to 1951 and gave again with the church its aspect of pre-war period.American cemetery
