College of the Albanian

The general high school and technological of the Albanian is located on the commune of Rumilly (Haute-Savoie), near the district of Bouchet. It is built in the middle of the years 1990, with a structure using wood massively. Its architecture is original, the buildings being organized in four parts: a heart, place of life central of the establishment, gathers the principal atrium, the rooms of work and the information center and information. It is, as its name indicates it, the center where the three other parts converge: the southern wing, which gather classrooms, the administration and the room of the personnel, and the northern wing, which also gathers classrooms and the school restaurant. Lastly, a last building shelters the workshops.

History

The college of the Albanian opens with the re-entry 1996 with only the level second. The Première level will be proposed as from 1997 and the level final with the re-entry 1998. It is in the month of June 1999 that the college of the Albanian celebrates his first promotion of graduates. A formation of level Advanced vocational diploma (Vat +2) opens thereafter. The college accommodates especially pupils of the cantons of Rumilly, Alby-on-Chéran and Seyssel; before its opening, the pupils resulting from these sectors were to go in the colleges of Annecy. It thus constitutes a true better proximity in the teaching offer.

Structure

For the school year 2006-2007:
  • 10 classes of second general and technological

  • 10 classes of first general and technological
  • 9 classes of final general and technological
  • 1 class preparing the advanced vocational diploma
The college proposes an offer of baccalaureats diversified: arts person, economic and social, scientific, scientific and technological tertiary (accountancy/management and administrative action and commercial), scientist and technological industrial (mechanical engineering, electrotechnical genius). In 2006, rate of success with the baccalaureat was on average of 92% (up to 96% for the scientific baccalaureat).

Raised

867 pupils were provided education for with the college of the Albanian for the school year 2006-2007 (428 boys and 439 girls). The relative small number of pupils and the architecture of the establishment make it possible to maintain a certain richness in the life of the college and to make work pupils and educative community under good conditions.
