The Collège Experimental College is a managed jointly public school functioning with Hérouville-Saint-Clearly since 1982. Its pedagogy is articulated in particular with the tutorat and the introduction of time of assessments.
History
The College Experimental College of Hérouville-Saint-Clearly is one of the four experimental colleges and public lycées set up by the Minister of education Main road in 1982.Like the maritime teaching experimental Center in Oléron, the College self-managed of Paris and experimental College of Saint-Nazaire, it had been given for goal to reflect and try out the possibility of another school.
Operation
The College experimental college (C.L.E) is a small structure of 350 pupils with classes with reduced manpower.Its operating process attaches an particular importance to the responsibilisation and the teaching accompaniment by the installation of Tutorat. Each pupil is followed by a main teacher; he gives a progress report on his work and his difficulties with this tutor at least every three weeks. He is also included in a group of tutorat which enables him to find of the assistance and to organize his personal work. These times of “assistance to work” are obligatory two or three times per week with the college; and become optional and weekly with the college.
