College Shakes
The college Hoche is an establishment French of secondary education and superior, located which occurred of Saint-Cloud at Versailles, in the Yvelines.
The Lycée accommodates pupils of the Collège to the preparatory classes. It is a college very " Scientifique" considering it contains in 1st, for example, nearly 9 classes S for 2 classes ES but more class of L. It is famous for its results with the baccalaureat but also with the open Competition, like with the entrance examinations at the universities. He is regarded besides as one of the most prestigious establishments of France.
He was named in homage to Lazare Hoche, general French born in Versailles.
History
Marie Leszczyńska, girl of the king of Poland Stanislas I {{er}} and marries Louis XV wishes, with dead of his/her father in 1766, to associate its name with a pious foundation. The queen calls upon the Lorraine architect Richard Mique and the construction of a convent entrusts to him, then that a little later of the Richaud hospital located close to the convent. September 29th, 1772, the buildings are inaugurated by Louis XV accompanied by his daughters (the queen died before the end of construction).
Until the French revolution, the convent is devoted, according to the rules of the congregation and the will of the founder, with the education of the young girls resulting from the small nobility at court.
At the beginning of the 19th century, a college occupies the buildings of the old convent of the Ursulines. The vault is classified historic building. It is only into 1888 that the college is called Lycée Shakes.

The college today
The college is currently directed by the headmaster Bernard Roesch and account among best with regard to the results of its pupils to the various examinations and contest.
Buildings
The Hoche college shelters three establishments: a college, a college, and preparatory classes at the universities, economic and scientific. It is composed of three principal buildings: the building of sciences remakes in 2002, sheltering the rooms of TP of physics/chemistry/life sciences and Earth. The college has an impressive collection of stored rocks and old material of physique on the last floor (and inaccessible to the pupils). The building of sciences shelters a gymnasium, intended for the courses of sport. The principal building is being the old convent, and he lives the classrooms of the schoolboys and high-school pupils, the language laboratories as well as the C.D.I (Information center and of Information). One finds also buildings prefabricated sheltering certain courses of the high-school pupils and schoolboys the time of the restoration of the College, as well as a track of athletics of 250 meters, a room of musculation, an infirmary, a conference room and a vault (closed because in restoration). These buildings were increased at the end of 2006 in order to accommodate the courses moved because of work. Because of its seniority, this establishment suffers from a lack of maintenance, even if appropriations were recently allocated with the rebuilding of several parts of the buildings, in particular the Gymnasium and the scientific building whose work finished in 2005, the vault or the C.D.I (Information center and of Information).
Work took seat since the end of 2006 to build a new building on the side of the building of the preparatory classes.
Other work is designed to renovate the building of the convent (principal building) and the building of the preparatory classes (mainly the boarding school).
College
The College Notch accommodates five classes of sixth, five classes of fifth, five classes of fourth and five classes of third.
College
The Hoche college is one of the best colleges French public with regard to rate of success with the Baccalaureat. Thus, in 2006, out of 351 registered voters with the baccalaureat, rates of success of final the S and L were of 100%, while that of the die ES was of 99% (a readjusted pupil).
The college trains primarily pupils of the scientific series (70% of final), and to a lesser extent of the economic lot size and social (25%). Dies BCPST, MPSI-MP, PCSI-PC, PSI (scientific way), ECS and ECE (economic and commercial way) compose the offer in preparatory classes at the universities of the Hoche college.
In the scientific sector one finds two classes of PCSI, two classes of MPSI, and two classes of BCPST in first year. In second year there are a MP, a MP*, a PC, a PC*, a PSI* and two BCPST. That represents more than 500 pupils for the only scientific sector.
In the economic die one finds four classes: a class by die (ECS/ECE) and per year.
Generally, the preparatory classes of the college Shakes, all confused dies, obtain excellent results with the entrance examinations of the most prestigious schools (HEC, Polytechnique or ENS). The college has a sports association for the schoolboys and high-school pupils, in various sports.
Evening APH
