College Rene-Kid

The college Rene-Kid is a Lycée French, located at Clermont-l' Herault (Herault).

Course

History

The Rene-Kid college was installed in the old convent of the Dominicain S. It côtoie the church of penitent white whose realization started with.

In 1797, Isaac Vernet founds there a school and a pension for young people. A decree of October 20th, 1803 institutes the college.

Then the cloister disappears, the loceaux monastic ones are transformed little by little, of the new buildings sédifient in 1885 - 1886, along the street Victor-Hugo. The renovated college is installed on this site.

It is named in homage has Rene Gosse, one of the first pupils of the college, shot by the Nazis as a resistant in the night of the 22 to December 23rd, 1943
