The college Fénelon of La Rochelle is a private school, catholic under contract, which opened its doors the October 15th 1872. |It generally obtains excellent results the proof baccalaureat, with a rate of success of 100% in 2003 and 2004 and 99% not to say 100% in 2006.

History

  • 1872 : Creation of the School Fénelon by Monseigneur Thomas, then bishop of the La Rochelle and Holy. Manpower are of 27 pupils.

  • 1940: Starting from June 1940, and until the May 8th 1945, most of the buildings and courses is occupied by the German .

  • 1992: The Fénélon college and the school of Providence approach.
  • 2002: The school unit Fénelon it Providence is joined by the Notre-Dame schools and Saint-Joseph.
