Kerneïz includes in this work a subject already approached in the hatha yoga or art of living according to mysterious India, that of the food mode in conformity with the science of the Hatha Yoga . Here, the author, is not satisfied to study food, it is interested the made-to-order as much to nourish itself. He points the fact that in food mechanics, most important is not the assimilation as one tends to think it, but well elimination. Indeed, a healthy body is before a whole body free and released of its Toxine S. the hatha yogi will thus pay attention not to preserve in him these poisons: “With the way in which the former Masters insist on the need for obtaining and for maintaining the freedom of the intestine, one understands that they regarded the constipation as an inadmissible tare”. The role of the Chakras is undeniable in the Digestion. The living being should be considered as a fire which needs to be fed as much as being purified of its waste, ashes. Kerneïz recommends always to be nourished with products of the soil, adapted better to the living beings of the medium. It is dangerous and harmful to preserve its food mode abroad, unsuited to the host countries. If the flesh-colored mode is possible in occident, it is to be proscribed in the hot countries, in this direction, the food taboos must be followed, they often correspond in addition to the cultural fact to a local fact. Although this work was written in 1946 and that consequently, it is placed compared to the scientific discoveries of the time (the Vitamine S and the Hormone S), it is always of topicality. It would gain, certainly, with being updated of current knowledge but exposed philosophy will remain for the reader a quite invaluable council.

Kerneïz studies in this book the nature of the Volonté , its pathologies and develops the means of controlling it. There is Volonté when that there are action and expression of idea (act in power), whether they are passive or active. There is thus change in a former irrefutable fact, which results on a effect. However, " the field of action of the thinking entity is thus limited to the field of its Conscience " (p 10). When the Conscience is passive, there is not Volonté . The Volonté leads to work out judgments (which action to make?), more the Volonté is strong, more the thinking entity will be active and avoid the tender with other ideas. The external idea is expressed either helps of it (council), or in suggestion (education). In order to deny oneself the other ideas, the subject works out contrary ideas (the loose subject has only little of it). Often, the thinking entity is let influence by the natural laws, the instincts, which are contrary with its blooming, because the object of nature is to subordinate the individuals. For example, the couple which is formed following the reason for a sexual passion is the fruit of two entities thinking passive and controlled by the Instinct of reproduction. It is thus necessary to learn how to control its desires in order to release itself from the external influences. There exists also a form of negative suggestion, which consists in giving a contrary idea to that suggested. " the person who deploys a great energy to translate into acts Ideas which are not them his, but those of the others, is generally pleased with its force of Volonté and would be well astonished if it were said to him that this one is crippled. " (p37). Because, according to Kerneïz , the Volonté is looked after, as far as it is atrophied. This work has thus as an aim to warn to us against the suggestion by means of the science of Hatha- Yoga.

In this work, Keneïz watch how much the animal instincts are at the origin of many actions of the individual like company. According to him, the human being is a Man in becoming, a future ideal. The individual of today is not yet a Man, we oscillate between animal and man. As long as we will control animals to live, we will live like parasites and we move away from a life in symbiosis. Here how the reality of Gunas for Hatha-Yogui appears. Tamas (inertia), is expressed by the instinct of self-preservation and by that of misoneism (which hates the new one), Rajahs (the impulse) is expressed in the migrating and innovative instinct. The instinct of self-preservation finds its application in the tradition, that migratory in the search of new. Their dynamics generates Satva (the harmony). Imbalance between the two generates evils in the company. Too many innovations (sciences, discovered…) generate a company without reference mark, too many traditions (morals, religions…) block the evolution of the Man. The company reacts like a herd, the instincts xenophobe (independent of the race: it is a fear of new and unknown) and gregarious is its engines. In the same way the individual and the family. It often happens that between individuals, the instincts are confused with real feelings because of selfishness: thus, the mother who believes too much to love her child made watch of the instinct of annexationism (property), and lowers in fact, her child with an object. Idem for the father choosing the future of his son. All these phenomena rise from two natural laws: the Symbiosis and Ahamkara (principle of personification). The hatha Yogui must, by becoming aware of this reality, évertuer to harmonize Tamas and Rajahs in his behavior and to help the company in this same direction.
