Collar of the Telegraph

The collar of the Telegraph to 1566 Mètre S of Altitude is located in the Massif Rings. The Fort of the Telegraph near the collar benefitted fully from its strategic position to the top of the valley of the Maurienne.

It connects Saint-Michel-with-Maurienne to north and Valloire in the south and constitutes an approach ramp to the Col of Galibier by its northern face.
