Collar of Marie-Blanque
The collar of Marie-Blanque (altitude: 1035 m) are a collar the French Pyrenees located in the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques (64). It is on the road of connection between the two close valleys, the Vallée of Winder and the Vallée of Ose.
It holds its name of the Béarnais Marie Blanque , Vautour percnoptère or percnoptère of Egypt.
It offers the access to the Plateau of Bénou.
One can make there Randonnée S all the année.
The collar of Marie-Blanque dreaded and is sought by the cyclo-touristes.
Sports events
The collar is located on the way of the 16th stage of the Tour de France 2007 which will take place on July 25th. The course of 218 kilometers will connect Orthez to Gourette - Collar of Aubisque.The Tour de France borrowed it 12 times, of which the first at the time of the Tour 1978 and the last on July 12th 2006.
